This blog is for any student who needs money to support his/her education at WISR. We will offer workshops and resources and hope to create some helpful dialogue on this blog. Your participation is critical, and we welcome your sharing leads on possible grant sources and successes you have had in your fundraising efforts.

This blog has been initiated, and is facilitated, by the Rev. Richard Lawrence, WISR’s Vice President for Institutional Development. Richard is a retired Methodist clergyman committed to a minstry of social justice.

richard lawrenceHe currently volunteers at WISR in this institutional development role and as an adjunct faculty member, as a Civic Ventures Purpose Prize Fellow.

He is also employed part-time as Managing Coordinator for San Diego Works for Better Health, funded by the California Endowment, and serves as Honorary Chair of the San Diego Affordable Housing Coalition. He has previously worked as Foundation Officer for the Cummins Engine Foundation and was a co-founder and charter member of the Association of Black Foundation Executives.
